Protests in Lagos, Nigeria

Protests against the police brutality have escalated on Monday 19th of October 2020 in Lagos and other towns of Nigeria.

The Governor of Lagos State has imposed a 24hour curfew all over Lagos State starting from Tuesday 20th of October 4pm. It is however uncertain if curfew will be extended or if other similar measures will be taken in the coming days.

Lagos is paralyzed with key road access and international airport that have been blocked.

The Lagos State Government has suspended all government activities including port operations and declared lockdown for 72 hours due to growing violence in the state
