The passports of the crew members and the seaman books must be in order. Immigration agents regularly go on board the vessel for aleatory controls and impose fines in case of inconsistencies.
We recommend all vessels entering Ghanaian ports to keep the sewage plant overboard valve closed and sealed and to contact us if a fine is imposed on the vessel.
In view of the recent increase of pirates attacked in the area, the Ghanaian authorities have shown concern to improve the security off their coast by providing port security and navy patrols at Tema anchorage.
