COVID situation in Ivory Coast

The IVORY COAST government declared the state of health emergency up to 31/05/2020.

A curfew has been imposed in Abidjan as from 21:00 to 05:00. Schools are closed up to 17/05/2020. All borders are closed for all passengers, gatherings of more 50 people are prohibited and working from home is advised.

Offices bank and public bodies are till operational, working from 07:00 to 15:00

The following individual measures are imposed:

– compulsory wearing of masks;

– maintaining a distance of at least 1 meter between persons,

– washing hands regularly.

Abidjan is isolated from the other towns of the country and the port is still operational.

Vessels should inform local authorities Re the last 10 ports of call of the vessel 1 week before berthing (and 48 hours before berthing for San Pedro).

A quarantine zone has been defined for infected vessels.

All vessels should have infrared thermometers on board. One crew member should check temperature of anyone boarding the vessel and check for correct implementation of individual anti COVID measures. The results of these measures should be handed to the Port Health Services and to the Port State Control. No access to the vessel will be authorized for people refusing to be checked.

No more shore-pass are granted to crew members except for emergency situations.
